Jack lost his first tooth today! He is very excited to put it under his pillow tonight!

Out on the lake

We took the kids out to the lake last Saturday (Thanks Kyle, for letting us use the boat!) and had so much fun. Jack was great at kneeboarding, and Ellie even gave it a try! Lucy liked riding in the boat and helping Mom and Dad drive. We haven't been out boating the last two summers so it was fun going again!

Ellie's Dance Recital (and pizza)
This is video from Ellie's dance/gymnastic recital. I'm not sure why she is standing in the corner during the tap dance song. Why don't I know? I wasn't there, my friend taped it for me. Why wasn't I there? I was delivering pizzas to Jack's school for the last day party. Why didn't I plan it better? I did! I had my day perfectly planned out: Everyone was all ready to go, I would send Jack off on the bus at 11:15, run to Little Caesars and get pizza, deliver pizza to class at 11:45, go to Ellie's recital at 12:00, and run back to the school when the recital was over to help with the party. Everything was great until I arrived at Little Caesars and was informed that it would be at least 30 minutes before I could even place an order.
"But isn't your whole business concept that you always have pizzas hot and ready?" I ask.
Answer: "Well, we are really busy today."(in a really snotty tone)
"Why is that guy outside on the sidewalk holding a sign advertising 'hot and ready'? Shouldn't he come in and start making pizzas?" I ask.
Answer: "That isn't his job."(again with the attitude)
Great.
So, I get on the phone to Dani (the secretary at Clint's work) to see if she knows of any other pizza places that do quick carryout, and I try calling the other nearby pizza places to see if they can sell me pizzas right know. No one can, but Dani finds another Little Caesars that is pretty close by. (She also offers to go get the pizzas and take them to Jack's school for me, isn't she nice, but I am closer) I call them. They also don't have any pizzas ready, but they are working on them. I reserve five pizzas and make the guy promise not to sell them to anyone else. Meanwhile, I drop Ellie off at her dance recital and throw my camera at my friend Kim. Arriving at the second Little Caesars, there is another guy on the sidewalk holding a sign advertising 'hot and fresh'. When I get inside the pizzas are not quite ready and they aren't the kind I ordered, but I'll take whatever at this point. (Why can't they cross-train the sidewalk sign holders to also shove and remove pizzas from an oven, so they are not false advertising?) I run the pizzas to Jack's class and head back to Ellie's dance recital. I got to see all of the gymnastics part and Kim did a great job taping. So all's well that ends well (No thanks to you Little Caesars, you are now on my boycott list with the YMCA, the Pizza Hut closest to my house, Kiddie Kandids, and Walmart.)
Ellie and Lucy are best friends now, except when they are punching and biting each other (Ellie punches, Lucy bites)
