Two conversations with Ellie yesterday:
1. Ellie: Remember when I was carsick and I threw up in the car?
Me: Oh, yes, I remember.
Ellie: And remember when I was couch sick?
Me: No, what is couch sick?
Ellie: When I threw up on the couch.
2. This took place when I was driving Ellie to dance class with three friends and Lucy. The carpool conversations are always amusing.
Friend: Oh no! I forgot to bring my Wheat Thins.
Ellie: What?
Friend: I forgot to bring my Wheat Thins.
Ellie: What are you saying?
Friend: I forgot my Wheat Thins! (shouting)
Ellie: Mom, what is she saying?
Me: She forgot her Wheat Thins, her crackers.
Ellie: Oh, (to friend in a talking to a baby voice) don't you know how to say craaacckkerrs?
