Halloween Pictures
Here are a few pictures from the Halloween celebrations we've been having. Jack is a vampire this year, Ellie is TinkerBelle, and Lucy has been a spider and a ladybug, and wants to be a pirate when we go trick-or-treating.

LOTOJA
Clint rode in Lotoja this past weekend. This means he rode his bike from Logan, Utah to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is 206 miles in one day! He road with his friend Shawn, and Randy Reid (a friend of Shawn's brother). Shawn's brothers Mike and Brian also rode. Mike and Brian have ridden in Lotoja a few times and did really well, Mike placed 2nd in his group and finished in 9 1/2 hours. Brian placed 17th in his group and finished in 10 1/2 hours.
This was Clint, Shawn, and Randy's first time riding Lotoja. They rode as a group and did really well! Their finish time was 12 hours 45 minutes, 11 1/2 hours were spent on the bike. There were 1259 riders this year and 941 finished the race. After it was over they were pretty hammered, but looked better than I thought they would. Clint is still tired and sore and hasn't decided yet if it was actually fun or if he will do it again, but he has a great sense of accomplishment (sounds like childbirth)!
I got to "support" Clint while he rode with the other rider wives supporting their husbands. We drove the same route with a few detours and met the guys at feed zones. We traded empty water bottles for full, filled their jerseys with food and supplements for the next leg of the race, traded out clothes, carried extra equipment, and tried to be supportive! It was a lot of fun to be there helping and to see Clint. He has put a lot of time and effort into training and it was good to see it pay off!

Jack's Post
Jack made a card house and it was big and it was as big as jack and it used all of 3
card boxes. it was probably almost as big as julie. it took 2 days to build.
and the first time it fell but the second time it stayed. it was hard but it was
fun to so if you want to make a card house out of 3 boxes it will probably fall
the first time but the second time it will stay.

First Grade!
I can't believe Jack is in first grade! He started school on Monday, and it is really strange to have him gone all day. Jack is excited to have some friends from kindergarten in his class, and his teacher seems like she'll be good. He said she is a lot stricter than his kindergarten teacher, and all they do is talk about the rules. I told him that is always the first few days of school. He'll do great, but I miss having him at home with me.
Ellie starts preschool three days a week after Labor Day, so Lucy is going to be a lonely girl!

Summer Summary
Since I'm a little behind on the blogging, this will be a long post of everything that's been going on since July Fourth.
10 Years!
Clint and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary on July 17th. We went to a really fun local fondue restaurant and saw a movie, while the kids had a sleepover with Grandma Nanner & Grandpa John. I can't believe it's been 10 years! Time flies when you're having fun!
I got to go to Girl's Camp for a few days and then to McCall with some girlfriends before meeting Clint and the kids in...
Sun Valley
We stayed with Clint's parents in their condo. Clint's sister Jordan was there with her kids so it was a lot of fun. We biked around town, went on a little picnic and hiked around a stream, saw the figure skaters (Nancy Kerrigan and Brian Boitono, and lots of others that I didn't recognize), walked around Sun Valley, played games, and ate treats. Then we were on our way to...
Twin Falls
The first fun thing in TF was my sister little boy Maxon's 2nd birthday! Carrie planned a cute bug themed birthday party. You can see the details here.
Then we got to take the kids to the Twin Falls temple open house.
They thought it was really pretty inside and it was neat to take them through. Jack told me he felt the spirit in the sealing room. I said "That's great! What did it fell like?" He said, "Like a warmness in my heart." Just when I was thinking I have such a righteous son, he said, "Just kidding, I didn't. That's just what they said in Primary." But it was still a great experience. Then when the boys went golfing, the girls took the kids to Bass Lake. 
This lake is at the country club and has a fun little beach and dock with a water slide. The kids had fun playing in the sand and the water, and getting buried by Aunt Tracie. Ellie and Lucy liked the water slide and Jack swam out to the far dock and back.
Bear Lake
The next adventure was Bear Lake where we attended a family reunion for my mom's family.
There were a ton of people there! I got to see a lot of my cousins and my kids got to play with their kids. We stayed with Grandpa Cleve & Grandma Debbie, Carrie and Max, and Tracie and her friend Devon in a family friend's cabin. We met up with the rest of the family at my aunt's cabin for a super fun luau, other great meals, playing on the beach and in the swimming pool, and for a tour of Minnetonka Cave.
Y-Not-Tri
Clint and I did our first triathlon earlier this month. A very mini triathlon, it involved a 1/4 mile swim in a downtown pond, 6 mile bike, and 2 mile run. It was a lot of fun and we are definitely planning on doing it again next year. Clint won't let me post a picture of him in his Speedo, so I'll just post the before and after pictures.
